Environmental Science AP

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, ADVANCED PLACEMENT: This interdisciplinary course will provide students with the scientific principles, concepts and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world.  Students will identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, and evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems. Students will also examine possible solutions to environmental issues.   Some topics will include a study of ecosystems, population biology, land and water use, energy resources and consumption, pollution and global change.  The curriculum is aligned with College Board guidelines.
