Advanced Science - Anatomy & Physiology

ADVANCED SCIENCE - ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY: is a study of the human body and its functions. The course begins with the body at the cellular level and then proceeds to study the human body through its various systems.  Throughout the course, dissection of various organs from chickens, pigs, and cows will be performed.  Students will end the course with a final dissection of the fetal pig to review all of the body systems.  Lab experiments involving measurement of the student's own body functions will also be done (for example, measuring lung capacity, heart rate, etc.)

Prerequisite: Bio I, Algebra I, and Chemistry I with grades of C+ or above in all courses.
