DRAWING I

Students will increase their perceptual skills while using a variety of drawing tools and techniques. The primary focus of this course is drawing from life;  learning how to look at spatial relationships in order to transfer knowledge onto a 2-dimensional plane.  Types of drawings will include contour, gesture, still life, linear perspective, and portrait.  Media will include graphite, charcoal, conté and ink.  Outside of class sketchbook assignments are part of this course.
