I am now serving as a Team Leader in AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) which is a full-time, team-based residential program for people ages 18-24, last year I was a corps member (part of a team of 10 people). The mission of AmeriCorps NCCC is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through team-based national and community service. NCCC is an 11-month commitment of its team leaders, who have a demonstrated leadership background and a strong interest and willingness to participate in a national service program.  Projects are developed in conjunction with sponsoring organizations and address critical needs in the areas of natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. Teams can expect to complete between 4-6 projects during their term of service. During their term of service, team leaders are expected to be the primary point of contact for the team and the program staff. Housing is provided by the NCCC, either at the campus or at the project site. If you want to know more about this program and the work we do go to: Additionally, there is an NCCC frequently asked question section located at

Also, I am working my way to going to school at a college in Brisbane, AU.
