2024 GIRLS SOCCER INFORMATION

 

We would like to welcome everyone to a new season for the Zionsville High School Girls’ Soccer Program. We are very excited about the upcoming year and though there will be an element of transition and change for everyone involved, we look forward to building new bonds and creating a great team environment for the girls to experience.

The following document will attempt to outline the program and the expectations for all involved.

 

Coaching Staff

Varsity: Head Coach Robert Klatte (1st Season); Assistant Coach: Shannon Rinearson (6th Season)

JV: Head Coach Rita Lickliter (12th Season); Assistant Coach: Kristin Lancaster (11th Season)

Freshmen: Head Coach Haley Potoczek (6th Season); Assistant Coach: Kristin Lancaster (11th Season)

Goalkeeper Coach: Evan Green (3rd Season)

The summer workout schedule (including workout instructions) can be found by clicking here. It has all the activities we will be participating in during June, July, and early August. Please note that dates are subject to change. If there are any changes to this calendar, we will attempt to update them via TeamSnap. 

 

 

2024-25 Physical Instructions

All ZCHS Athletes must have their physical and online forms completed BEFORE any preseason/summer workouts are attended. For more information, click here.

 

 

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

 
Zionsville Youth Soccer Camp - Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20

The Girls Soccer Program will be hosting a Summer Soccer Camp for youth 6-11 years old. There will be two one-hour sessions each day U7-U9 (9:00-10:00 am) and U10-U12 (10:15-11:15 am)

The open field sessions allow for the all players to come train and play.

Moratorium Week - Monday, July 1 - Sunday, July 7
This week is designed so that players have an official week off in the summer. Per IHSAA rules, coaches are not allowed to hold any team practices during this week.
 
 
Brownsburg Summer Friendlies - Saturday, July 20
Location: Brownsburg High School, 1000 S. Odell St., Brownsburg, IN 46112
Number of Teams: 3
Number of Games: 2
 
 
Carmel Summer Tournament - Friday, July 26 - Saturday, July 27
Location: River Road Complex, East 126th Street and River Road, Carmel, IN 46033
Number of Teams: 3
Number of Games: 3 (One Friday and Two Saturday)
 
 
Alumnae Game - Friday, August 2
The game will feature current players vs alumnae. 
Time: 6:00 pm
Location: 4400 S 875 E Zionsville, IN 46077

 

 

Practice Gear
As part of their official gear, players will receive:
  • three t-shirts
  • two pairs of socks
  • a set of exercise bands
  • a recovery roller
Players will be responsible for their own black shorts.
Cost: $140

 

 

Summer Registration and Payment Instructions

Registration for all summer activities will be done online by clicking here.

  1. Fill out all information required.
  2. If you have two or more daughters in our program, you will need to register each of them separately.

  6. Payment options:
    1. Preferred: Venmo account @ZionsvilleWomensSoccer
    2. Second option: Personal check made payable to Zionsville Girls Soccer and mailed to team treasurer Gwen Mantel at: 6564 Bainbridge Way, Zionsville, IN 46077.
  7. If your daughter is not planning to participate in any activities during the summer, she still needs to get registered so that we are aware of her status. In addition, she will need to purchase her Practice Gear for the cost of $140.
  8. ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER ONLINE AND PAY NO LATER THAN MAY 1st

****Summer Training Program Disclaimer: Participation in team activities during the summer is optional. The summer training program is offered as an opportunity for players to improve their skills and fitness levels in preparation for tryouts. Each player has the choice to participate in these sessions or not. It is important to note that players who do not choose to participate in the optional summer training program are responsible to train on their own and be fit for tryouts.
 
Team selection will not be based on attendance or lack thereof during the summer soccer activities, ultimately tryouts, not summer training participation, will determine team placement. If you have any questions about any of this, please contact Head Coach Robert Klatte.
 
 

Tryouts - Monday, August 5 - Tuesday, August 6

Time: 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm
Location: 875 E Soccer Facility
 

All interested players are expected to attend both days of tryouts. If there are conflicts with tryouts dates, please contact Head Coach Robert Klatte. Areas that players will be assessed during tryouts include: Technical Skills, Tactical Understanding and Application, Fitness, Attitude, Determination, Responsibility, as well as Coachability. 

 

Team announcements will be made after the conclusion of the August 6th session by 9:00 pm.

 

 

Regular Season Training/Schedule 

After tryouts are completed, the teams will set and regular season training will follow. Starting Tuesday, August 7th the teams will train from 4:15 pm to 5:45 pm. The exceptions will be Saturday, August 10th and August 24th where the team will train from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Regular season games begin Saturday, August 17th for JV/Varsity and August 22nd for Freshmen. A copy of each team's game schedule (Draft) can be found by clicking here.

ZCHS Athletic Handbook

  • Students and Parents need to become familiar with the ZHS code of conduct.
  • Athletic participation is a privilege, and athletes are held to a very high standard 365 days a year both in and out of school.
  • Any player who violates school policy, either in or out of the season will be subjected to suspension or team expulsion based on Zionsville Community High School code of conduct guidelines.
  • In addition, it is expected that all players maintain good grades to participate, specific GPA requirements are outlined in the athletic handbook which can be found by clicking here

  • All communication will be done using TeamSnap.
  • Entire summer schedule, regular season schedules, etc. will be posted/updated.
  • All parents/players should have access.
