Women in Business and Technology

Target Group: Female students interested in careers in Business and/or Technology.

Purpose: Women are historically underrepresented in business and technology roles. Many women don’t have the exposure to these subjects or don’t understand the breadth of possible careers in these fields. This group will focus on the following:

• Increasing exposure to business and technology careers
• Encouraging mentorship by bringing in notable women in these areas from the community
• Visiting technology focused businesses and small businesses in the area
• Supporting other business and technology related clubs among this population of students (i.e. robotics, BPA)
• Encouraging citizenship through service – preferably technology or business related
• Partner with higher education for exposure opportunities
