Attendance Policy

New this year, besides the way parents/caregivers report absences for appointments during the school day, the student dismissal process has also been updated. Students who leave at some point during the school day for an appointment must pick up a pink pass from the attendance window inside the office. Students can pick up their pass before school, during passing periods, or during their lunch period. Having this pass allows students to leave the classroom and exit the building closest to their vehicles/pick-up point without having to sign out at the attendance window. Students simply show the pass to their teacher, who signs the pass and releases the student to exit the building for their appointment.

Students must have the pass in hand before the teacher can release the student, so it is important that parents/caregivers report known school-day absences as early as possible. We can process passes in the attendance office days in advance. Using our online absence reporting system is the easiest way to do this. In the event there is a last-minute or emergency need for an appointment, please call the attendance office and we will send a pass directly to the classroom. To minimize disruptions to the learning environment, passes for known appointments must be picked up by students at the attendance window prior to time of their departure. Processing daily attendance for our 2,350 students is made easier when we plan ahead and work together. Working together, we can help ensure a safe transition when students leave campus during the school day.
