During his tenure, Coach Porras has been named Hoosier Crossroads Conference Coach of the Year in cross country (2007, 2009, 2022), boys track & field (2007, 2009, 2010) and girls track & field (2017) as well as earning Indiana Coach of the Year in 2022 by the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Association and the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He has also coached over 60 athletes that continued their cross country or track & field careers at the collegiate level.
Coach Porras has been teaching Spanish at Zionsville High School since 2001 and lives in Brownsburg with his wife, Leah, three children - Caleb, Zoe & Kaylin and nephew Danny.
