State and Standardized Testing

Many Colleges/Universities are "Test Flexible" for the Class of 2024.  Please review college admission's websites for more information.

Standardized/College Admissions Testing:

Students are encouraged to begin taking the SAT and/or the ACT college entrance exams starting in the spring semester of their junior year. Many students take the SAT and/or ACT two or more times because they often improve their scores. Most colleges will take your best scores (super score). Seniors wishing to improve their SAT and/or ACT scores can often retest in September or October and still meet many college application deadlines. Most colleges accept either test. Consult college websites to determine if one is preferred or required.

Students should check the admission requirements of the colleges they plan to attend to determine the importance in each admissions decision.

Most colleges require you to send SAT/ACT scores directly to them from the testing agency. You will need the college codes of any schools you want to receive your scores when you register for this test.
